The first meal

The official start of the program – the welcome dinner!

Starting with the complementary bacalaitos (cod fish fritters) and sopa de platanos (plantain soup), followed with a round of appetizers and main courses – shown here. A favorite: tostones de pana (fried, mashed breadfruit). The meal ended with a single, shared dessert (tres leches) and Casita’s traditional shot of anise liquor, with three coffee beans, for love, wealth and health.
